Previously, VINARE also approved the plan to issue nearly 20 million bonus shares.
On 29th June 2021, Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE – stock code VNR) will close the list of shareholders to receive dividend of the financial year 2020 in cash. The payout rate is 15%, i.e a shareholder owning 1 share will receive 1,500 VND. The payment will be implemented on 28th July 2021.
With more than 131 million shares outstanding, VINARE will pay about VND 196 billion as dividend to its shareholders.
In addition to cash dividend, VINARE shareholders will also receive bonus shares to be issued from its equity surplus at the rate of 15%. Previously, the company has approved a plan to issue more than 19.66 million bonus shares. The intended issuance has received approval from the Ministry of Finance and the State Securities Commission and will be implemented in the third Quarter of this year.
In 2020, Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE) posted VND1,578 billion in net revenue from insurance business, increasing by 27.6% over the previous year. Having accounted for incurred expenses, the company reported a profit after tax of VND311 billion, increasing by 8.5% over the same period. EPS reached 2,314 VND.
As of 31st December 2020, VINARE still has 892 billion VND of accumulated undistributed after-tax profit. In addition, the company has 131 billion VND in the required reserve fund, 211 billion VND in the development investment fund and 566 billion VND in surplus equity.
Not only receiving cash dividends, receiving news that they are about to receive bonus shares, but VINARE shareholders also get “double profit” when VNR’s stock price in the market is increasing sharply. Closing the trading session on 17th June 2021 at 29,000 VND/share – the highest price of this stock. In comparison with the beginning of June 2021, VNR stock has increased by about 11%. Since the beginning of 2021, VNR has increased by about 45%.
